Gerry Posted January 27 Report Posted January 27 Here's an interesting set of mounts on this shungunto: https://www.jauce.com/auction/w1170939001 1 Quote
lonely panet Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Nice gunto, but i would warn off anyone form buying nihonto from jauce atm. Iv had a sword with them for close to 5 months and still not a sign of export permit. They have no interest in going above to ask why. They just reply its not our fault.... Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Solid copper fittings sometimes show up, for combat mounts these are about the best you'll see. You would expect the blade to be Gimei, the sellers description is ambitious at best. 1 Quote
KungFooey Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 The mei looks fairly good compared to TH papered examples. 1 2 Quote
Gerry Posted January 29 Author Report Posted January 29 Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Jauce. I've purchased 26 swords through them in the last 10 months, and haven't had any issues with the export permits applications. There's one sword that had a wrong torokusho that had to be re-issued, but Jauce was very clear with updates through the whole process, which took about 5 months. Maybe you can email their customer service people to check if your sword had a torokusho issue, and ask for details? They even told me which month the education board was meeting to rview and re-issue my torokusho, and when the new torokusho arrived. Quote
