ottou812 Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 It's a kozuka signed yasushi kore. There are several names for 安 though. As to which are tosugu related, I have no idea. Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 This could also be read Yasuyuki. Quote
docliss Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 This kozuka is signed YASUYUKI, and would appear to be by a Kyoto artist (H 11357.0), working ca 1800. John L. Quote

Brian Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 I for one would like to know more about this. It certainly seems to me to be suspicious. Please clarify Todd. A bidder bidding on all your auctions, and when he wins, the item is relisted? In the interests of fair play on the forum, please clear this up asap, and thanks Dirk for the info. Brian Quote
goinlower6969 Posted January 26, 2010 Author Report Posted January 26, 2010 Well the bidder has won tons of my items and we have been over it a bunch of times,, hes a older gentleman and some items he pays for and others he tells me after he won he dont have the money so i relist them and tell him not to bid on them cause it cost me money every time to relist them....hes a great customer when he pays but stinks when he doest not,, and this little piece has been sold to a female i think....todd Quote
Brian Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 Todd, I think the "elderly gentleman" is going to be costing you quite a few bids and money. I know that most won't bid if they see this pattern. It doesn't look good at all, and is no way to work with ebay auctions at all. In fact, since the bidder seems to back out of just about every item he wins, I expect that is is only fair to allow any high bidder on your auctions to back out of they choose to, if they see that bidder put in any bids and raised the price. :| Oh..and as pointed out to me by a forum member, that mysterious "older gentleman" has purchased baby formula in the past 30 days. I guess that Viagra must be working  Brian Quote
Lee Bray Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Block him from your ebay account. As Brian points out, not everyone on ebay is an idiot and you will get a bad reputation. On a couple of $100 tsuba - who cares? When it comes time to get rid of rid your swords, you'll care, as they won't realise their full potential. Quote
watsonmil Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 A buyer who's great when he pay's ????? Hmmm. ... Ron Watson Quote

b.hennick Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Note the write ups for Tod's latest auctions. He seems to have lost the poor writing and learned correct Japanese terminology very quickly or he has received some serious help. Quote
sanjuro Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Not before time......... That should have been his first move, not his latest or last. Quote
ottou812 Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Note the write ups for Tod's latest auctions. He seems to have lost the poor writing and learned correct Japanese terminology very quickly or he has received some serious help. Let's not post veiled flames at the seller. If you don't like his auctions, ignore them. So what if he had help? Wouldn't you want help to sell something you know little about? Or would you rather get ripped off by the buyers? Quote
Stephen Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 of course he has help, you can see the write ups are in upper and lower , he him self uses all caps if you look at his auctions. I really think it helps his auctions just wondering if hes helping his helper with a bit of green as he should be. example A very nice signed, Shinto Yari in shirasaya. Mei reads - Takada Oite No NoriYuki A Bungo smith, probably 4th generation Noriyuki, worked around 1688. (Hawley's - NOR 456 - 15 points) 3 sided yari with hi. Complete package with copper habaki and honoki shirasaya mekugi-ana. Nagasa is approximately 10". Suriage nakago. Hamon appears to be suguha. THIS IS A GREAT OLD PIECE,, COMES STRAIGHT OUT OF MY GRANDFATHERS COLLECTION..GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS** I do see the yari is jumpin up quick, at least hes doing five days now Quote
