KungFooey Posted Tuesday at 09:09 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:09 AM (edited) I posted this guard on 'Translation Assistance' but the signing is just TOO faint to read - even with talc. So, I was hoping someone could suggest a possible school? Height: 7.4cm, width: 7.2cm, thickness: 6mm and weight: 215g It's pierced with 'snow flowers' and also has 'mokume hada' (appreciate you teaching me that!) Thanks in advance, Dee Edited Tuesday at 09:36 AM by KungFooey Extra info 1 Quote

SteveM Posted Tuesday at 02:48 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:48 PM Myōchin is another possibility. Either Myōchin main line, or some later artist working in Myōchin style. They did this sort of mokume (wood-grain pattern) tsuba. https://www.nipponto...swords6/TB202360.htm https://www.e-sword.jp/tsuba/1710-6011.htm https://japaneseswor...suba-signed-myochin/ 3 Quote
