Matt D Posted November 8, 2024 Report Posted November 8, 2024 What is the best material for applying oil? Is there a particular material that works better than others? Quote
SteveM Posted November 8, 2024 Report Posted November 8, 2024 Microdear cloths are often mentioned as the best, but most any microfiber cloth (a lense-cleaning cloth) will do. This is worth reading. Quote
Teimei Posted November 8, 2024 Report Posted November 8, 2024 I use plain unscented tissues. Cheap, easy to buy and you don´t need to wash them. Quote

Robert S Posted November 8, 2024 Report Posted November 8, 2024 As I noted in a previous post, there is some risk of micro-scratches with tissue, since it may contain abrasive particles, due to how it is produced. My caution on this front is for the same reason that I would never use tissue on a camera lens. Quote
