Ron M
Bishu Osafune Ju Sukesada. Not much to see except nice fittings if cleaned up but looks legit -ish. What’s the cutting edge length (Nagasa)?
NewB
Hello welcome. Looks like a great ‘same’ with nice ornaments (menuki). It’s looks like from the bishu sukesada school. Please don’t try to clean anything as of yet until you read ‘how to take care of nihonto’. cheers y
Rivkin
It wants to be shinto, maybe shinshinto Sukesada. I would search on the web for all available signatures (there should be quite a few) and try to find a close match. The writing is not terrible, so there is a chance. Kmad
Sorry I don't understand what you mean by this statement It wants to be shinto, maybe shinshinto Sukesada. Is this a good school to have a sword from Thanks Ken

Is this a good school to have a sword from Thanks Ken Different time periods (feel free to research each word I.e Shinto and shinshinto). There are over 200 smiths that signed with that name so narrowing down the period is just for research purposes. To me the good news is that the tang hasn’t been shortened and the patina hasn’t been altered. Very important to me it looks like lazy uchi mono but that’s a far fetched unsubstantiated guess y
Bugyotsuji
Predictive text warning! Probably means ‘Kazu-uchi mono’ above. 1 2
