GeorgeLuucas Posted November 1, 2024 Report Posted November 1, 2024 While I was doing a deal for another sword, this one was also available in Gunto fittings. Curious what the Nakago translation is. Apologies for poor lighting. It’s on a counter in a dim lit store, and it was a little chaotic in there. I hope it is still legible enough to translate. Cheers, -Sam Quote

GeorgeLuucas Posted November 1, 2024 Author Report Posted November 1, 2024 Unfortunately I did not purchase this sword. I am hoping the translation will help the owners find it a proper home. It was pretty nice looking, but had condition issues. Still on a roll though Cheers, -Sam 2 Quote
GeorgeLuucas Posted December 1, 2024 Author Report Posted December 1, 2024 Here’s more photos of this sword if anyone was curious. This is not my listing. It’s from a local militaria store. Type 19 https://www.thewarfr...-1900s-type-19-sword Quote

GeorgeLuucas Posted December 2, 2024 Author Report Posted December 2, 2024 The boshi was intact as far as I could tell, but I’d want good photos or another look of that area to be sure. I was more focused on the Type95 I like these type of fittings too. Very cool sword, but not in the cards for me 1 Quote
