Just thought I would see what you guys would have to say about this axe I’ve had for about 20 years and I think it was pretty old when I got it, but I have no knowledge of where it came from who made it or how old it is

The axe is called Masakari (鉞) in Japanese. It is a carpenter’s tool and used to shave a log.

The characters on the axe are

登録商標 – Registered trademark

龍之 – Tatsuyuki (reading?)

土佐 – Tosa

特製 – Special made.
