Hey everybody I have this sword that I’m trying to put a mekugi in the old one was cracked in half but regular mekugi will not fit the hole is smaller than I would normally see any thoughts on where I could replace the mekugi? Thanks

As a temporary measure (or permanent if you like it) you can buy wooden/bamboo chopsticks and cut to fit.  There are a few for sale on ebay.  I bought a set of 3 that way myself, a while back.
