moss Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Hello all, Can anybody translate this for me? I guess the photos tell the story...all seppa ,dai seppa, and tsuba stamped 3 with another kanji as well. I know the smith is Kaneuji but that is all. How would this blade be classified? Overall it's a nice gunto and has a great feel in hand. Cheers to all over this festive period Moss Quote
John A Stuart Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Yes, Kaneuji 兼氏. Showa ju roku ju ichi gatsu, 1942 november. John oops 1941 Quote
David Flynn Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 (Yoshida) Kaneuji with a Kaneuji kokuin (the stamp just says, Kaneuji) This is a Showato/Gunto . Probably oil tempered. David Quote
David Flynn Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 Isn't Ju Roku 1941? Showa 1926 being Ichi. Quote
