EdWolf Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Just to share with you the latest addition to the collection. The blade is signed Bishu Fujiwara, the rest of the signature is cut off. 3 4 Quote
ROKUJURO Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Ed, good photos are necessary for a helpful response. Ideally, they should be - well focused, not blurry or foggy - made with a dark, non-reflective background for good contrast - made with light from the side (may not apply for HAMON photos) - made from directly above (not at an angle) - made with correct orientation (tip-upwards; this is most important when reading of a MEI is requested) - without HABAKI but showing the MACHI and NAKAGO JIRI - made with high resolution to see details - showing details of the sword like BOSHI, HAMACHI, HAMON, HADA, NAKAGO JIRI etc. - presented as cut-outs so very little background is seen 1 Quote
John C Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Are those the older type 94 fittings? John C. 1 1 Quote

PNSSHOGUN Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 Hi Ed, very nice early mounts - congrats! 2 Quote
EdWolf Posted September 2 Author Report Posted September 2 @ROKUJURO hi Jean, Thanks for the guidelines. I did my best but my photographer skills are bad. The auto focus failed and manually focus also failed because of my bad eyes. The habaki can only be moved a few centimeters. Tried to remove it but I don't want to damage the habaki. @John C, indeed early fittings. @PNSSHOGUN John already mentioned that. 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 Gorgeous, Ed! Mon, pierced tsuba, nice leather cover, beautiful hamon - quite a rig. Love it. 1 Quote
