moriarty Posted August 28 Report Posted August 28 Greetings everyone, I found myself re-reading a passage from the Art of the Samurai and found this statement: “Along the Edo Period..practice swordplay, swords of wood or bamboo were devised. This new activity was reflected in the design of real swords, which, as the memory of actual warfare became fainter, grew straighter and progressively narrower toward the point. Tempering patterns became more flamboyant and picturesque, includ- ing the newly devised tõran-ba” I'm wondering if there are any clear examples of this trend, or if it was a trend at all. All information is welcome God Bless Quote
