Bugyotsuji Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 Could be, but above the castle in the pic it says 大木戸 Ookido... so... at Takanawa by the sea? 1 Quote

Bugyotsuji Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 All of these look better without glass! The first one fell down the back of a chest as I was hanging it, so it needs redoing… Amateur night! Quote
paul alex Posted August 19 Author Report Posted August 19 Very nice I've got my eye on few pieces like this at the moment.i still make my fare share of mistakes here's one I messed up 2 Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 You are forgiven!!! I have several loose, as yet unframed triptychs, but I like the way you have left margins between and not attempted to join up your 'beauty' set above. Quote
paul alex Posted August 19 Author Report Posted August 19 Yes I think they look better with the boarders.i had to buy a proper mount cutter I was trying to cut them free hand I can do singles but three is a bit much Quote

Bugyotsuji Posted August 22 Report Posted August 22 Glass reflections, yes, we can show more of those! Quote
The Blacksmith Posted August 25 Report Posted August 25 I envy you Piers, as probably you can still obtain nice woodblock prints at reasonable prices in Japan. I did have a few years ago, but alas they were destroyed in a fire along with my library. There used to be a shop in Camden Passage in London that sold prints, and where I bought a few. Unfortunately the lady who owned the shop was from Nagasaki, and wouldn't have anything sword related in the shop. Nice frames gents! Well done! 2 Quote
