The Nagoya Sword Museum in Japan (YT Video link)

This popped up in my YouTube feed this morning. Thought I would share.

 

Apparently, a recently opened Sword and Traditional Japanese Arms Museum in Nagoya. 

It's a fairly short video, about 10 minutes long, but some of the exhibits look very interesting.

Some of us have already been to see the sword floor, jam packed with blades. There is also an armors floor, and a teppo guns floor too! If you want to see everything in a day, you'll need to get a good night's sleep first, then get in there right as the doors open in the morning!

 

By the way, it's so new that no-one at Nagoya main station knew where it was, and even the taxi driver asked for the correct address to put into his navigation system as he'd never heard of it.

DOH! Ah, well, I'm usually a day late and a dollar short to these sorts of things. 

 

Still, it looks like an amazing museum! Another visit to add to my Japan list.

I plan to visit next year. Although shades might be advisable with all the gold on display.
