Aside from the omote manji any thoughts on the piece itself?

I'm inclined to agree with this. The listing claims that the omote manji here somehow connects to the Hachisuka family from the Azuchi-Momoyama Period as a selling point as the Hachisuka clan used the manji as their mon. This connection is tentative at best without some additional evidence. Whilst the Hachisuka family has survived into modern times making such a link possible, it certainly seems more LIKELY in the absence of anything substantive that there is no link between the two and that it is simply a selling point.

 

Whilst the armour itself is a nice set that I wouldn't mind owning if I had the means, from what I've seen online you can find similar sets of a similar age, condition and quality for about half the listed price.

 

So all that being said, I probably wouldn't invest in this item even if I had the financial means to do so, unless some evidence could be produced to actually link the listing to the Hachisuka clan. 

 

On the other hand if by some unlikely stroke of luck such evidence were to be produced by the seller, some might consider the price to be a bargain.

The possibility cannot be dismissed. The maedaté could have been created more recently to strengthen the appeal of an armour that did indeed come out of those storehouses some years back. 
(I cannot see any other Hachisuka Mon but maybe I’m overlooking them.

(During the late Muromachi and Momoyama the father and son used a Christian bladed cross.)
