Hi! the folks over on reddit recommended i ask here about translation on this sword i recently brought. Sadly some idiot cleaned one side of the tang, so i have to apologise for the swordgore, but i'm after some help translating the writing on the tang. I know nothing about Japanese swords, but the auctioneers is trustworthy, so i though i'd dip my toe into a field that is fascinating with this.

The folks over on reddit got this far:

Omote side: ??守藤原(助?)則 (?? no kami Fujiwara (Suke?)nori)

Apparently no kami Fujiwara is some kind of title, which if anyone knows the English translation, i would be grateful

Ura side: ?(州?)??政???作之 (...(shū?)..masa...saku kore = ..province...masa...made this).
