...read reviews of the Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The show at the Met so impressed the Directors of the JSSUS that the Society decided to publish early so that our members will know about the exhibit.

The JSSUS Newsletter usually publishes every two months. The December/January issue usually arrives in February. This year we took the unusual step of publishing early. The show at the Met is a must see event. It ends January 10, 2010. If there is one sword event to attend this is it!

Barry,

Looking forward to it. Is the JSSUS going to stock the catalogs???????

I don't think there is any reason for the JSS/US to stock the catalogs. They're easily available from the Met and other online dealers; no need for us to tie up funds in inventory.

That said, let me add that the catalog from this show is definitely worth the purchase price; it is a very well done book. They're in print now and going for what will likely be the lowest price they'll ever sell at. After the show ends and the catalog goes out of print, the value/price will increase. Word to the wise: buy your copy now.

I just wanted to make sure that people know that the show at the Met ends Jan. 10 2010. It appears that there is an error (two actually) in the JSSUS Newsletter :(

This is a great place to see top level swords.
