Hello,

Has anyone further information...?

He seems to be in charge of some seriously big projects and company...so possibly life is in the way and he's just taking a breather. I'm sure we'll hear more and trust that it's temporary

DOS (Denial of Service) attack

Yup, or if the attack is coming from multiple sources its a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack.

Most attacks like this these days are DDoS in the form of botnets (huge groups of infected computers, appliances, anything with an internet connection and weak security) that are offered for sale as a service to use for X hours for $X/hr.

It seems like NihontoClub is hosted on AWS based on a nslookup, and they typically have pretty good preventions you can put in place for attacks so who knows what's up.

Maybe they are getting attacked, what do you call it when they flood with thousands and thousands of hits on a website?

Yes, there was a major ransomware attack last week hopefully he's not dealing with the fallout of that like others.

Since the site has been reachable on and off and it's hosted on AWS (probably a smaller instance to save run costs), I'm assuming he might be getting a lot of traffic unintentionally, possibly from some of these attacks. Lots of spam traffic is on the internet these days and coming from all over the world. I've had times where my NAS just got hit with tons of stuff from China and was blocking requests left and right. I had to pretty much block off 1/2 of the world's IP range just to cut down some of the chatter.
