Need help is this a genuine Nagamitsu ?

I see a section of iron with 長光作 Nagamitsu Saku chiselled into it in funky writing. The hole towards the top of the photo suggests this might be part of the tang of a sword.

Looks about right, there are quite a few variations of Mei for Nagamitsu:

The Type 98 mounts are original, the blade should have some variant of Choji Hamon.

thats a very poorly cut mei for nagamistu?? i would be very suspiscoius about the  areas that cleaned area.

Just check ebay. Few know dealers there .
