Lindsay McKenzie Posted May 30, 2024 Report Posted May 30, 2024 Does anyone own, or at least have decent images, of the stable belt worn by officers & NCO’s of the Toyama Military Academy. I’m particularly interested in exactly how the sageo was attached to the belt? Was it passed through a hook or simply through the belt itself? It’s not clear on any of the photos of recruits from the military academy. I understand the sword was secured through a leather diagonal loop attached to the belt but can’t work out how the Sageo was attached. The photo below shows an early Jukendo belt which was based on those issued to the Toyama Military Academy but doesn’t include the sword or sageo attachments? Quote
Kiipu Posted May 30, 2024 Report Posted May 30, 2024 I would ask Guy over at WRF. Takayama Masakichi, the Man Who Was Responsible for the "Takayama-Tō" 1 Quote

Azra Valencia Posted February 20 Report Posted February 20 I got this photo from some Japanese WW2 Relic website. The straps look same. Noted from there this was very late war, around 1944s. Interestingly, the Holster (Type 94) fit with the belt. Quote
