Dear members,

I am offering here a tsuba that is rarely seen in this combination.

Mount Fuji with pine trees at the base ( not identical on both sides, but with variations) and the material is suaka, with plenty of leftover urushi.

Beautiful color. Photos are made in the morning sun.

Kokinko tsuba, suaka, Momoyama/ early Edo

66mm x 66mm. Relatively thick at 5.5mm, 123 gr.

Price: 1800 € (excl. package and posting)

Dear members,

the tsuba offered for sale here was made most probably between 1580 and 1630. I can't really assign it to a school, but it seems to be more or less a one-off piece, but perhaps someone has a different expert opinion on the matter.

It is quite heavy for its size and makes a solid powerful impression.

It has a typical color for suaka and the urushi makes it look classy and rustic.

I can not remember ever have seen a comparable tsuba in a book or catalog.

I am offering it for sale to finance a new acquisition.

Here are a few more photos.

Price: 1450 €, excl postage, PayPal

Kindest regards
