Hello all, a local seller has this sword for sale. He says it is from ww2. He has another sword as well and it is definitely from ww2. But this one seems....off. my biggest concern is the Mei. It is not chiseled into the tang like other signatures and seems to be on above or on top of the tang, which makes me concerned about its authenticity. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated!

Ujifusa was a lineage of Owari smiths. Yes, this appears to be Edo period and restorable, but that is a question best answered by a polisher evaluating the sword in hand.
