hi, Bruce, thank you for reply.

it has a general tassel attached. and the seller told me it is a early general 94 military sword set, but without real blade.

could you please take a look if the tassel and set are original, if so.perhaps i will buy them.

Johh, @PNSSHOGUN, will chime in as his day begins on the bottom of the world!

Does the seller know that is a general officer tassel?  Those sell for as much as a full WWII Type 98 gunto.  John will have to advise on the fittings.

I don't study these, so I cannot say.  It's 1:45am in Aussie-land, so it will be a few hours before John wakes up and sees this.  Of course, anyone with tassel experience could help out.

In the meantime, here’s an interesting thread on the tassels. After reading through it, I feel the one in question looks a little funny - In my opinion

All the best,

TRUE, so that is why i come here to beg for advices before payment.

so you mean that, beside the tassel,  the sword fittings are all original.

Replica tassel, mounts appear original. Collecting in China seems fraught with danger.

Yes,this kind of Chinese made repro costs about 200 bucks(photos below). however, the seller did not inform me about this:-(

For the sword fitting,it costs about 1500 bucks, do you think it is worthy to purchase?

It appears to be an early fitting by Suya. And like John said, the tassel is a repro.

Expensive, such Koshirae from Japan go for around 100,000yen. Dealer doesn't seem trustworthy.

I would either pair it with an original company-grade or field-grade tassel or not use a tassel at all. The repro General tassel doesn’t hold much significance, but that's just my personal preference.

yes, you are right. the genuine general tassel is too expensive.
