4cuir Posted April 14, 2024 Report Posted April 14, 2024 Hello everyone I am looking for information on this kamon present on my kabuto, I cannot find the family in the few books I have in my library or on the web. If you can tell me more please Thank you very much. Romaric Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted April 14, 2024 Report Posted April 14, 2024 Just going from gut feeling here as in a hurry, but you could look at original Azai or Rokkaku allegiance for the hexagonal shape, and some relation to the Date for the Date mitsu hikiryo, three standing narrow-edge sukashi stripes. Time-wise, early Edo? Quote
uwe Posted April 14, 2024 Report Posted April 14, 2024 I think it can be called “亀甲の内竪三つ引き” (Kikkō no nai tate mitsubiki) or three standing bars in a tortoise shell… Couldn’t find a perfect match, but two very similar ones are related to “Uchiyama” family! 1 Quote
4cuir Posted April 15, 2024 Author Report Posted April 15, 2024 Good morning. Thanks to both of you. I had the Jimbo clan as a lead but the kamon is not hexagonal Do you have more information to give me about the uchiyama family? thanks again Sincerely Quote
uwe Posted April 15, 2024 Report Posted April 15, 2024 No, Jinbô is diffrent! Here is what I found for Uchiyama (内山): Not exactly the mon on the fukigaeshi, but quite close.... 1 1 Quote
4cuir Posted April 16, 2024 Author Report Posted April 16, 2024 Thanks uwe. It's actually very similar, especially the last one. On the other hand I can't find much information on this family.... What is its location, its role and its heritage.... If you can tell me more about the uchiyama family.. Thank you in advance. Romaric Quote
uwe Posted April 16, 2024 Report Posted April 16, 2024 Well, a quick search brought up not much about this family... Interestingly they shared another mon with the Ôi (大井). The Ôi clan in turn suppostly erected Uchiyama castle (内山城). So you probably have to search in this environment?! On the other hand, there is also a Bukeyashiki (Samurai residence) in Ôno (Echizen provinze) called Uchiyama-bukeyashiki (内山武家屋敷). It was inhabited by Uchiyama Ryôkyû during the Bakumatsu period. Refer: https://www.jcastle....w/Uchiyama_Residence Maybe another point to start? Quote
4cuir Posted April 16, 2024 Author Report Posted April 16, 2024 (edited) Thanks uwe. Edited April 16, 2024 by 4cuir Copy of last writing Quote
4cuir Posted April 16, 2024 Author Report Posted April 16, 2024 Thanks again Uwe. Yes, that’s the little information I was able to get about this family. Both on the samurai castle, which can be visited and the two brothers. In any case, we have already made progress on the kamon thanks to you. Thanks again 1 Quote
