singh13 Posted April 1, 2024 Report Posted April 1, 2024 Hello NMB, long-time no see. I've been lurking some listings lately and came across this Daisho Tsuba set. https://www.ebay.com...r=artemis&media=COPY What caught my eye about this is that I actually have an unpapered Tsuba in my collection that I now believe to have come from the same school (Kyo-Kinko). I initially bought the Tsuba because it looked beautiful but am now interested in its origins after seeing some similar Tsuba. Would I be safe in assuming that this Tsuba is from that school and Shinshinto period? Many thanks Quote
thutson Posted April 1, 2024 Report Posted April 1, 2024 I would have to agree, looks to be a Nagoya-mono piece. Here is a link to a nice write up about them: 1 Quote
singh13 Posted April 2, 2024 Author Report Posted April 2, 2024 Haha oh well, at least the silver lining here is that it looks to be one of the better quality Nagoya Mino 3 Quote
MauroP Posted April 4, 2024 Report Posted April 4, 2024 Actually the hozon paper correctly report Kyō-kanagushi, wich is different from Kyō-kinkō (and surely nothing to do with ko-kinkō). 1 Quote
