Mark Green Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 USPS Global Priority mail. List it as Antique Art. Quote
Stephen Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 second Mark USPS, listed as Japanese Nihonto cir (what century) Quote
b.hennick Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 As a Canadian, I like USPS the best. If sent airmail there is no broker involved. They charge a lot of money for not much work that I can see. The US postal service is reasonable and resonably secure. I have only lost one thing and that was a blade stolen. There is a long series of posts on that thief. I would mark the package as antique nihonto circa (give the century). To make life easier on the package put an envelope with a formal looking signed declaration declaring that the piece is a genuine antique. BTW Canada young country that it is considers anything over 50 years old an antique. Quote
