Unknown Japanese Knife

Hello all, I found this knife over the weekend and have posted it on another site but a friend of mine suggested I try here as well. The knife looks to be well made and is not nihonto but it has a name on it. My question is does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be? I have been told it could be a carpenters tool but I'm not sure, it may be just a utility knife but if it's nothing special per sei why did the maker put his name on it, I'm not trying to pull something out of the air here just trying to fiqure this little bugger out. Thoughts? It did come indirectly from a vetran source.

That is a utility knife for flower arrangement. 安重 (Yasushige) on the blade is the shop’s name.

But I think this knifes are not traditional made even if the price is not cheap?!

However, those knives have been commonly used in various purposes. Although the knives are not classified as nihonto, they are traditionally made in their own ways as knives.

Thanks guys! I thought this might be a pilots knife or a military utlity knife, hmm, nice sharp little blade. The steel does have flaws in it like a traditional blade might have from carbon deposits, not alot but a few when you look at it closely.

Thank you guys, now i know what is a Japanese Knife, I know what is knife but there are different kinds of knife just like custom knife or throwing knife
