nindja Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 Trying to get a copy of this book. Have tried their website and e-mailed a few times but no reply. Is Panchita Hawley still alive and in business? My brother called the listed phone number in the US but was told it was a private residence and not the Hawey residence. Can anyone help please. Junior sword enthusiast. Thanks in advance Peace Nevin Quote
Ted Tenold Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 There are are a couple places to get Hawley publications. http://www.bugei.com http://www.bridgeofdreams.com http://www.satcho.com Try these folks and see if you can find what you need. I'm pretty sure Panchita is alive, but not sure if she's doing any direct sales. Good Luck. Quote

nindja Posted November 9, 2009 Author Report Posted November 9, 2009 Already do. Haven't seen any. Quote
Ted Tenold Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Holy Cow! $950?! Heck, my copy is signed by Willis himself, it should be worth twice that then! Nevin, out of curiousity I made a quick call and what I was told is that these haven't been available from Hawley's Library for quite some time; about two years actually. It was an expensive book to produce with low volume of sales, which in the book business, is the kiss of death for any edition. Your best bet will be to find one on the secondary market. They come up on occassion. Quote
ottou812 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Maybe someone should somehow get it into an ebook format for Amazon, B&N, etc. Quote
Stephen Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 ran across this ...you could make him a offer Japanese Swordsmiths Revised by Hawkley. $349.95 see photos Item# IB010604 Request Info http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/admin ... temID=3600 Quote
Brian Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Wasn't so long ago that the 2 volume set was everywhere..around $225 IIRC?? What on earth happened? Sheesh. Anyways, more expensive, but take your pick. Lots of volume 2, some volume 1, and a few of the modern 2 volume set.. http://used.addall.com/SuperRare/submit ... store=ZVAB I still think eBay is your best bet. Brian Quote
bridgeofdreams Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 My neighbors at Paragon have a complete set of the blue books just listed for $295.
