Detailed question about armor restoration

Hello!

Does anyone know of a good video showing relacing of an antique armor? All films I can find are people using nylon lacing on their self made armors.

But my main question is if anyone knows if the leather thongs that holds the plates together (tomegawa) is pulled tight after the lacing is done? Otherwise I can’t understand how to reach the section of holes below the next plate.
