Nice design , but Owari and Kanayama were 2 schools l know of (possibly others) that made Yagua designs. Yes the first generation Yagua did make their own but apparently there are few.

What is Yagua ? Did you mean to write YAGYU?

Yagua are an Amazonian indigenous tribe.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yagua  [I don't think they make tsuba ]

Yes, they do have a lot of similarities, but I don't feel they are the same.

Yes, where did the partial bamboo tsuba boxes come from. The inside floor of „many“ yagyu tsuba boxes is a bamboo work. Recently I read that this partial bamboo tsuba boxes are associated with the yagyu collections. Any thoughts about that boxes are very welcome.
