Translation on flag

Can anyone help with a translation on a small flag I acquired in a ww2 grouping? Any help is always greatly appreciated

The writing on it seems to be fake.

This came in a large ww2 bring back grouping. A bunch of guns and other items ship logs etc. Stuff has been sealed in a box since 1947

Would this be one of those flags u s soldiers would scribble on and sell to each other ?

Interesting flash communication. It notes there was a suicide attack with planes crashing near "KA-15." I can't find a reference for a ship designated as "KA" so not sure about that either.

Ship logs are full of accounts of shooting down Japanese planes. Making landings dropping marines etc.

Correct. But I was referring to the ship designation. What kind of ship was designated as KA?

I am unsure . This ship log is from the USS Dade identification number apa99 attached to 54th division 18th squadron amphibious flotilla Pacific fleet.

It is probably USS Andromeda (AKA-15).  She was at Okinawa during April 1945.

AKA = attack cargo ship.
