OceanoNox Posted December 6, 2023 Report Posted December 6, 2023 It is in French, but the document is available for free (download included). It is written by Mr. Tadamasa HAYASHI. https://bibliotheque...re&o=bookmark&n=0&q= 4 1 2 Quote
Spartancrest Posted December 6, 2023 Report Posted December 6, 2023 You can read it in English. I translated it a couple of years back My version has the Louvre collection from 1894 and his Chronological collection of 144 'Sabre Guards' from the 10th to the 18th century [originally published in 1902] 88 pages in all. Some of the original tsuba are to be found in the Guimet Museum in Paris, donated by Hayashi. https://au.blurb.com...shi-tsuba-collection https://www.amazon.c...n-1894/dp/B0BB5QQ8X2 How Amazon can sell the soft cover version for less than I can buy my own book is crazy! Perhaps they make up the difference by selling the hardcover for twice what I pay? 5 Quote
Spartancrest Posted December 6, 2023 Report Posted December 6, 2023 The original books by Hayashi are still kicking around. You can see from the original cover, I used the same image background as homage to his work, on the new book. 4 Quote
