1kinko Posted November 28, 2023 Report Posted November 28, 2023 If you don't already subscribe (free) to the Met's Arms and Armor Dispatches from the Field you're missing some very good articles on Japanese arms. The latest (#23) from Markus is- Kao: the monogram of Japanese sword fittings makers. armsandarmor@metmuseum.org 4 Quote
OceanoNox Posted November 29, 2023 Report Posted November 29, 2023 Do we need to send an email to the mail you wrote? Or is it included in the newsletter that can be subscribed to online (https://www.metmuseum.org/about-the-met/collection-areas/arms-and-armor)? Quote
1kinko Posted November 29, 2023 Author Report Posted November 29, 2023 Good question! I've been getting dispatches from the field for several years but I don't recall how. I tried calling the Met and got a garbage recording, so I sent an email asking how. No response yet. The full title is Arms and Armor, Dispatches from the Field, Curatorial. The latest is- Kao: the monogram of Japanese sword fittings makers. You can also search all previous curatorials. When/if the Met gets back to me I will post it. 1 Quote
zanilu Posted November 30, 2023 Report Posted November 30, 2023 No result here either. I have subscribed to their newsletter. I received a confirmation email and then nothing. I ended up here (https://www.metmuseu...nd-armor/newsletters) but I have no clues on how to get the latest newsletter with Markus article. 2 Quote
