Yes, that's the one!  Should I admit that he cracked me up at the end, when he told how he would evaluate necks, his commanders, other civilians after the war, on whether they had a "great neck", easy to cut?  No, I shouldn't admit that!!!

It was brought up that Dai-Seppa for these were not cast but rather stamped or cut out. Has anyone see examples of cast versions? Here's mine and a sample I found on the internet.

Do mine look like reproductions?

@Bencld Thanks for sharing.

The Dai-Seppa on yours look correct.

The dot pattern is smaller and the lines are much cleaner. I still haven't found one that matches the one I have. Leading me to thing it is a reproduction.

I think yours and mine are both missing the Brass Seppa. Does your Tsuba rattle slightly?

Tim,

I wouldn't jump to conclusions about yours.  During the war, there were over 1,200 shops selling swords.  Many of those shops were making fittings.  There was a wide variety of quality and production methods.  I see nothing about your tsuba/seppa set that looks like after-market, post war work.  You just need to find a couple more brass seppa to fill your set out.
