Identify type 98 sword

Hi guys,

First time posting here. Need some opinions and info about a sword.It look like made by Kojima kanemichi

It fake or authentic?

new to join the Japanese sword.

the picture with the mei is very dark, at least for me,  can you add a better picture. That being said it looks genuine. i don't think i have seen any copies of smiths like Kanemichi. Dated 5th month 1943

Yes ,come with green scabbard, not like normal dark brown. 
bit not sure original or repaint.

@Jager are you aware this sword was posted on the forum for sale recently? I think I also saw it on eBay in the past.

Yes it’s post on eBay.

Just thinking if the sword are authentic and no other issues with sword.I maybe able to take it.It look good to me.But need more options.

Oh, I see! With the angle of the photo, I thought the latch was centered, but after looking again, I can see it was offset. Nice fat tsuba though!
