Hello,

I am looking to buy a chuso button/scabbard lock/retention spring for a recent sword I have purchased in gunto mounts.

I believe they can come in a variety of sizes? So I am also looking for help on any measurements I can make to determine exactly what I need.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

the  chances of buying one that fits without first trying it is slim. The button/whole size varies so either the button will not fit in the whole or is too loose and doesn't look right  (you can drill out the whole but that can cause  damage)... the length varies a LOT you will get one that does not go deep enough to lock or is too long. best option is to take it to a show and if someone has parts try what is available

Thank you. That's what I was afraid to hear but also kind of what I expected. I will have to try what you said and take it to shows. I guess first I need to try and make my way to shows.

Thank you again

The SOS in Louisville KY in February would be a good place to look

Thanks! I plan to be there. It's been a couple years since the last time I was about to make it.
