I would like to buy this sword, but I don't have much information. Can you tell me something based on these photos. The seller says the sword was made in 1941 by Katsumasa. Thanks for the help.

First thing is that I think the date is 1945 (2 X 10 = Showa 20) rather than 1941.

The style is a contingency version of the Type 98 officer sword.  It had no official designated name, but you will find many discussions if you search Type 44, Type 3, Type 00, Marine Landing sword, or Rinji Seishiki.  You can read all about them on these pages:

昭和二十年四月 1945 April.

勝正 = Katsumasa.

Blue paint: 八二五〇チ = 8250 CHI.

Note the チ katakana character that comes after the number.
