Hello, I am new in "Japanese samurai helmets" I need to buy only one helmet for my cabinet display but late period aprox 1900s and original , so here what I found on the ebay (I understand it is not a great place to buy) shores, can you please tell me or describe main based facts about these two helmets below:

1) As I Understood these helmets below are not originals and made for tourists only?

2) These helmets are not for collecting and they have nothing compared even close to the originals (wrong details) ?

3) Why seller is telling me that these helmets was made by "the master" long time ago near 1900s ?

4) If these helmets made at 1900s.... are they very late originals or they are fakes/copy just made in Japan at 20th century?

P.S thanks for the newbie answers

Yes, both are replicas probably made sometime in the 20th century. Even though they looking like Samurai helmets (kabuto 兜), they have not much to do with the “real thing”.
The question is, why do you want to buy one of these helmets? Only for optical reasons, to display something “cool” which not everyone has? So why not….I assume both are not very expensive.
On the other hand, there are real kabuto out there that don’t cost a fortune and you get a piece of Japanese history for your cabinet with patina and charm…

‘Pristine’ will cost you, because many others are looking for the same thing. Accept some damage, (think of it as proof of age), and you should be able to find something genuine which also looks good in a display.
