Mark Green Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Hi Jim, A bit better pic, of both sides would help. That one is very fuzzy. And sizes would help too. Length, width, thickness. Very nice tsuba. Mark G Quote

Jean Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Hi Jim, The problem is that you are trying to get a close up picture and the lenses cannot accomodate the distance. Take the picture from a yard or so, you'll have a clearer picture with a lot of pixels after that you can crop it. Another way is to scan it Quote
John A Stuart Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 I think this tsuba has been finished with a light mekkin and reminds me of Onin tsuba but this is not the proper technique used by that group. Maybe a tsuba that can only be classed as ' in the style of '. I suggest this as I see no sign of inlet or cross hatching and where the gold coloured metal has worn off, a flush surface. John Quote
