Hello all,

I am a total novice so do need a little help or guiding hand, i,ve just purchaced my 1st sword, could anyone help with the tang marks,

Probably too late for professional help :lol:

 

Please provide clear photos of both sides of the nakago (and maybe the entire sword?). Also, you may want to first take a "stab at it" by refering to the various kanji materials available under the "kanji pages" tab at the top of the page.

 

Looking forward to seeing the photos!

Thanks again markus uve been a great help, i,ve sent that sword to be polished, i thought it,s from the Tomoyuki from around the 1600s would this be correct?

mine of being polished at min so dug these few out, the last 1 is just to show the slight curviture of the blade .

You and me both Mark, some time august or september will post some more pics, the mei looks the same as 2 of yours,? sorry think it was richard had the tomoyuki mei posted,
