Hi,

As mentioned in the Tomotsuru thread I picked up this small, what I think is Nara school, tsuba, maybe Ko or Mito?

I believe the theme is autumn flowers, akakusa, with the moon over clouds.

Dimensions:

62mm X 59mm

4mm at Mimi, 3.3mm at seppa dai

I like the symmetrical tagane around the nakago ana.

Thanks Dale, butterfly seems appropriate given the flowers 😊.

I wondered if the punch marks were from a specific tool on the tsuba I have, as they seem to be made from a single blow? There are slight nuances with each one.
