Family line before 1876 and are still active today

Recommended Posts

Hello,
I am looking for smiths who have the family line before the Haitōrei edict in 1876 and are still active today.

As an example the Gassan line or the Hokke Saburo, the Komiya line or Ishido line (but today does not make swords only tools).

Do you know any others?

The name "Akamatsu Taro" is used by a swordsmith family since ten generations living in Higo country (Kumamoto Prefecture current).

"Akamatsu Taro" was named by Mountain pass(Akamatsu-touge) of his hometown. Akamatsu Taro swordsmith family, who has served for generations as a swordsmith patronized of the Sagara Daimyo(Hitoyoshi-han in HIGO country
