Help with signature and any other info that can be provided

Hi, im looking at this sword maybe to purchase, and im wondering if I can get a signature translation and any other info that can be provided, and if it’s a good buy, they are asking $900, but will consider b/o…it’s a Wakizashi signed by kanetsugu, and the size is “overall 27" L, blade 17 1/4" L” These are the only pictures they have.

Dear Sean.

 

It is hard to tell a great deal from these pictures, however the blade appears to be signed Inshu ju Kanetsugu saku.  If the blade is free from serious flaws then the price sounds about right for a wakizashi in moderate koshirae.

My advice is if that are the only pics they have that you pass.  No way to tell anything about condition of blade, hamon and boshi condition, nakago condition, etc.  There are LOTS of blades.  

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
