Antique Japanese Sword Made by KINMICHI 金道 NBTHK Kicho NIHONTO Wakizashi Edo

Hi everyone I saw this Sword out of Japan 

I believe it has papers? I never bought one that did so I’m in the dark about these

he wants 3800 but it’s a short sword but it is signed by A known smith it says NBTHK?

 

Any help about this authentic correct signature or anything else

Old papers, so it may as well not have any. They are not going to be regarded as valid.

What does this sword have to do with the title? Half the enjoyment of collecting is the research, sadly it doesn't do it itself!

1. The title is wrong.

2. The blade definitely looks like Muromachi Bizen.

3. It seems to be dated/signed but without really large photos its hard to verify the authenticity and frankly its a bit of a bother.

 

So yes, its authentic Muromachi Bizen, the signature could be right could be not, these things are surprisingly often faked.

3800$ is a lot. You can buy decent muromachi daito with mounts for 4000 today.
