Greetings!
Maybe a silly question, but still. I came across a katana with such a hamon on the Internet. Is hamon supposed to be this bright and clean? Is it a result of good polish that it looks almost artificially etched?

Dear Koltira.

 

Rather say that this type of polish is currently fashionable so any blade polished recently is likely to have hadori polish, Koto, Shinto, Shinshinto.
