Help to identify this tsuba

Any help on the school period or Mei I know is hard to reed but maybe some one here had any info

Very nice tsuba, "snow on bamboo" - strength through adversity. I particularly like the 'mokko' sukashi outline.

 

"Symbolizing spring, regeneration, and long life, bamboo also serves as a visual metaphor for the upright individual: someone who is strong, flexible, and with the capacity to withstand great adversity. The will to survive will not be stilled by darkness, cold, or snow". Obaku Taiho (1691–1774) 

 

 

This is what happens to a neglected piece!  No mokko outline and the snow has well and truly washed away!

Would you believe they are still making them for Iaidō (居合道)- https://www.handmade...a-sword-bamboo-tsuba   I can't see the omote side so I don't know if it has snow on that side.

SADANAGA TSUBA - the MEI can also be read as TEIMEI. The above TSUBA of the PO is very different in style from other TEIMEI TSUBA I have seen
