nickm Posted August 22, 2023 Report Posted August 22, 2023 Listing a massively healthy and wonderful naginatanaoshi which the NBTHK attributed to Bizen Tadamitsu. This Tadamitsu naginatanaoshi has a substantial weight, with a kasane of over 8mm and the ji is completely flawless. The jihada is a fine ko-itame with ji-nie and utsuri. The hamon ranges from a gonome choji in the lower to a very wide gonome midare in the monouchi. The sugata is quite beautiful, and this was originally a much longer naginata in addition to being osuriage. In shirasaya with a gold and silver foil habaki. Nagasa: 45.4Cm Motohaba: 2.8CM Sakihaba: 2.2cm Kasane: 0.85cm I purchased this from Ray singer several years ago and have loved every moment it has lived with me. I contemplated the sale a couple years ago and I’m lucky that Ray gave me permission to use his pics, description etc. The original listing can still be found under reference on his outstanding site. Unfortunately, the world has dictated It is time for it to find a new home. It is currently priced at under what I paid for it and look forward to hearing your feedback about the potential sale. 4000 obo 4 Quote
