Tsuka Maintenance

 

Just received the Tsuka in the mail.

 

Question.

 

In regard to EXTREMELY dry ribbon and Ray skin underneath

 

Is there something that you can use on or do with it to revitalize / stabilize / preserve it or do you just leave it alone?

I think many of the ito wrap on the RS tsuka were lacquered. Is this one? Without cleaning, you might try putting in a box with a humidity packet. I use them to keep my guitars from drying out.

Not lacquered.   however I will try what you suggested
