I am relatively new to the site and wanted to ask questions about where to buy authentic items like swords And armor. I have a martial arts background and have always been fascinated with the samurai and their tools and I would like to own some myself, but I don’t know where or who to buy from to get these things and not some cheap fakes.

Buy from known dealers listed up above in "nihonto info" under links -> commercial #1-4 or buy from fellow collectors here. It may also help to know what part of the country you're in so that you can reach out to nearby collectors or possible token kai (sword study) groups.

Well, there's always the Chicago Sword Show every April.

As for clubs, there's the Indiana Token Kai (message me if you want more details).

There's also several of us who buy and sell swords in the region.
