Ray Singer Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 A beautiful, long hirazukuri wakizashi from the late-Nanbokucho to Oei periods by Yamamura Yasunobu, a smith from the Yamashiro Nobukuni lineage. It is believed that he studied under shodai Nobukuni (or the nidai Nobukuni, depending on which theory you believe regarding of the generation who studied under Soshu Sadamune). This one really shows a strong similarity to Nobukuni and Sadamune, with a vibrant midare hamon in the Soshu-den tradition. In excellent old polish with top class gold foil habaki. 4950 + shipping.
