At that price I’d expect a daisho…..which from what I can see this isn’t. Fuchi don’t match kashira, kashira don’t match each other, wakizashi blade not even shown, tsuba look heavily rusted at best or at worst….cast. Obviously recently rewrapped. Not much there that makes them a daisho …..just my opinion🙂

Once I “get the bit between my teeth”🙂……

OK, so, the parchment was attached to the tsuka underneath the (old?) ito. Why then does it not have the usual grubby diamond marks all over it that are clearly visible around it on the same? Quite a puzzle.

Stumble across this "daisho" (lets not go down that road again)

 

Anyways, bit of a story from the seller and thought if there was some provenance along with the blades, i could accept the condition and be an happy owner.

 

For someone that wants a cheap display set and is not concerned about faults etc, at this price it could be perfect, doubt you will find anything cheaper.
